R&D
In the R&D Department, Cinfa works on the development of both new prescription products and new self-care products. We therefore have an analytical development laboratory and a pilot plant where we work for both Europe and the United States.
We have developed more than 200 products in total, some of them in partnership with research centres and universities in both Spain and overseas.
LIQUID MEDICINE MANUFACTURING
This area is where we produce the various syrups from Cinfa, such as Cinfatós, Cinfamucol, Cinfatusina, etc.
We have a production capacity of 12 million syrup containers per year.
LIQUID PACKAGING
This is where the syrups and liquid solutions produced in the manufacturing area are packaged. We have two lines for large liquids (for Cinfatós, for example), one for small liquids (for Respibien) and one for liquid stick-packs (to process single-dose syrups).
QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY
This laboratory analyses our raw materials, intermediate products and finished medicines.
Every medicine from Cinfa passes an average of 30 quality control checks before reaching the patient.
SOLID MEDICINE MANUFACTURING
Medicines in both tablet and capsule format are produced here.
We manufacture more than 3 billion tablets and capsules per year.
SACHETS
This is where we manufacture and package powder medicines, both in sachet format and stick format, such as Pharmagrip, ibuprofen, etc.
We produce 8 million sachets per year at this facility.
MICROBIOLOGY LABORATORY
This lab analyses both the medicines and the air and water used at Cinfa to make sure they meet predefined specifications in terms of the presence of microorganisms.
MAINTENANCE AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
Both Cinfa plants are certified under ISO14001 standards on waste management.
DEPOT
A general depot with space for 2,000 pallets.
OFFICES
Since it opened in 1981, various remodelling projects have been undertaken to streamline the various parts of this plant.
